Paris
To visit France, you need to have an open mind and a free spirited heart.  This magnificent country has a magic all it's own.  With the Eiffle Tower, one of the most visited pieces of architecture in the world, France still shows the old world intertw with the essence of today.
There are many misconceptions about the lifestyle in France.  The first thing that one may say (granted this is based on one who's never been to the country) is that the women have hairy legs and underarms and that the people there smell.  Sure, there may be 1 out of 100 that may prefer to have body hair and there are people, even in the US, who don't smell all that well, but smelly or not, the French make some great perfume!

In Paris, there are many famous monuments.  For instance, on your left you can see L'Arc de Triomphe (Arch of Triomph).  Ascending a 196 spiral stair case in each leg, the arc holds a great view once the top is reached.  Napoleon once wanted to build a giant elephant in it's place, but, for what reason, I'll have to look it up, decided to build the Arc de Triomphe instead.  Unfortuneatly he did not live to see the finished project.

La Tour Eiffle (The Eiffle Tower) stands at an amazing 330 meters!  That's over 1,000 feet.
We had a great time walking next to, under, in, and up this amazing structure.  Did you know that the metal expands 2 inches during the summer?  It's due to the expansion of the metal from the heat of the sun.  Unfortuneatly no one is allowed at the very top due to an accident some time ago.

Coming from the west coast of the US to the beautiful weather of Paris, we were loving every    gush of fresh air that we could take in.  Funny thing, the first day we flew in to Paris and by the time we went to bed, we had been up for over 32 hours straight!!!  Talk about jet lag.  I guess that's why it's just now hitting me that we were there.

Montmartre was my most favorite place of all.  It was small, quaint, and where famous artists vacationed and lived. The photo on the left is of Le Sacré Coeur.

I love cobbelstoned roads.  They really bring out the age in these small villages.  So amazing!

The Notre Dame or Our Lady was so beautiful, that I almost hesitated walking in.  There are three doors to go in, the people of God (Priests, Nuns, etc) on the far left, God in the middle, and us normal folk on the far right.  The island that Notre Dame sits on is where Paris begins.
